In a week of shifting viewership trends, weekend dramas continue to captivate audiences across South Korea. ‘Iron Family’ leads the pack with a record-breaking 17.6% rating, according to data released for October 21-27, 2024.

The KBS drama ‘Iron Family’ saw a significant jump in viewership, climbing from 14.6% on Saturday to 17.6% on Sunday. This marks a new high for the series, solidifying its position as the week’s top-rated show.

Meanwhile, tvN’s ‘Jeongnyeon - The Star is Born’ has overtaken SBS’s ‘The Judge from Hell’ in the weekend ratings battle. ‘Jeongnyeon’ reached 13.4% on Sunday, while ‘The Judge’ slipped to 11.7% on Saturday.

Other weekend dramas also saw gains. JTBC’s ‘A Virtuous Business’ increased from 5.1% to 6.0%, while MBC’s ‘Doubt’ hit 6.0% on Saturday after being pre-empted on Friday for baseball coverage.

Weekday dramas showed mixed results. ENA’s ‘Dear Hyeri’ saw an uptick as it approaches its finale, rising from 3.3% to 3.6%. Conversely, tvN’s ‘Dongjae the Good or the Bastard’ experienced a slight decline, dropping from 2.5% to 2.3%.

JTBC’s ‘Family by Choice’ is gradually gaining viewers, reaching 2.6% by Wednesday. KBS’s ‘Dog Knows Everything’ also saw growth, increasing from 3.8% to 4.4% over its two episodes.
